MontoyaAndre Montoya-Barthelemy, MD

BS Biochemistry – University of New Mexico
Medical School: Tulane University
Residency: General Surgery, HCMC

A native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Andre earned a BS in Biochemistry before working as an EMT in the rural Pueblo Santo Domingo. After medical school, he drifted up the Mississippi River to the Twin Cities and completed two years of the General Surgery Residency at Hennepin County Medical Center. Andre has a particular interest in working with underserved populations, advocacy, and teaching. He currently lives in South Minneapolis with his wife, Daniela, and their son, Copal.

RiesterScott Riester, MD, PhD

BS Biology Molecular Genetics – Cornell University
Medical School: University of Toledo
Residency: Orthopedic Surgery, Mayo Clinic

Since completing his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Mayo Clinic in 2013, Scott Riester has been actively involved in research, and just completed his PhD in Clinical and Translational Sciences through Mayo Graduate School. He has a special interest in translating research discoveries into novel therapies and treatments that can improve the lives of patients. His current research projects focus on preventing degenerative diseases including rotator cuff disease, osteoporosis, and osteoarthritis. Dr. Riester also has a master ranking in chess and enjoys teaching and sharing his knowledge of the game with others.

SellmanJonathan Sellman, MD

Residency: Internal Medicine, University of Minnesota
Fellowship: Infectious Diseases, University of Minnesota

Dr. Sellman is transitioning to Occupational Medicine after a 15-year career as an Infectious Diseases consultant with HealthPartners. He has interests in occupational infectious disease, pandemic planning, farm safety, and One Health (the overlap between human, animal and environmental health). He lives in Minneapolis with his wife and daughter and enjoys spending time at the family’s farm, converting former agricultural Gields to native prairie.

WilsonWilliam Wilson, IV, MD

BS Biomedical Engineering – University of Cincinnati
Medical School: University of Cincinnati
Residency: Internal Medicine, Akron General Medical Center

Dr. Wilson grew up in Cincinnati, OH and earned both his BS and MD at the University of Cincinnati. After graduation, he completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Akron General Medical Center in Akron, Ohio. He comes to the Twin Cities from Washington, D.C., where he had served the past three years as a Flight Surgeon in the United States Air Force. In his free time, Dr. Wilson enjoys playing board games, cooking, and visiting friends and family.
